10.05 - Tony Serrano Century

ABC is pleased to announce that the family of Tony Serrano and ride organizers will direct proceeds from this year's Tony Serrano Century to the Atlanta Bicycle Campaign, Healing Angels medical clinic, and Georgia Bikes. ABC is proud to be affiliated with such a meaningful ride and hope you will all come out to support.

(from the 2007 ride website):

"On August 26th, 2004 Tony Serrano was killed when struck by a car while cycling. Tony was 35. He was a husband, a father to 2 young daughters, a triathlete, and a friend. We formed a group to organize a charity bicycle ride both in Tony's honor and to benefit his family."

"The inaugural Tony Serrano Memorial Ride was held on October 31, 2004 and over 200 riders participated. The ride raised $7,000 for a college fund set up for Tony's
children, and for Georgia Bikes! to assist with the publishing and distributing of the Georgia Bicycle Law Enforcement Pocket Guide to law enforcement communities
across Georgia."

The ride is being presented by the Walton on Wheels cycling club and Walton Wellness.
