"Every picture tells a story, don't it?"

Rod Stewart was right about pictures and stories, and this picture tells the story of hundreds of cyclists who have been needlessly injured - sometimes killed - because of improperly installed storm grates. This particular grate hazard, at the corner of Carroll and Gaskill Streets in Cabbagetown, a historic Atlanta neighborhood, was documented by Andrew Hebert during the May 2008 ABC Fun Ride. (Thanks, Andrew!)

We are working on a full-featured system for reporting and tracking the hazards that you encounter as you bicycle in and around Atlanta. In the meantime, please use our hazard report form or send an email with photo documentation, if you have it, to reportahazard@atlantabike.org.
