Liz Wattenberg joined Zipcar (formerly Flexcar) in May of 2006 as General Manager for the Atlanta market. She brought with her a wide range of experience in marketing and sales, as well as business administration. Having always enjoyed working in a capacity to make a difference, for the four years prior, Liz promoted alternative commuting, as program manager of the Perimeter Transportation Coalition.

Liz continues to work closely with many community partners, such at the Atlanta Bicycle Campaign, to help make car-sharing a viable transportation option in Atlanta. In addition, as a League of American Cyclists certified League Cycling Instructor, she has taught a number of of our Confident City Cycling classes.

Liz is an avid cyclist and proud member of Sorella Cycling. She became addicted to cycling while training for a 330-mile charity ride in 2002. Since then, she has competed in triathlons, adventure races, mountain bike races, and road races.

Liz's diverse background includes living in five states across the country, degrees in biology and anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis, working with a tech start-up in the entertainment industry, and volunteering in charitable activities, including serving 2 1/2 years with the Peace Corps in Togo, West Africa. She enjoys climbing, riding, gardening, attending community gatherings, and practicing hot yoga ... but not watching television; she hasn't owned a TV in over a year and hasn't missed it either. The outdoors is her favorite place to be ... riding with friends preferably!
