Our annual goals fall into four categories: advocacy, organization, programs, and safety.
Advocacy
- 3 Feet Safe Passing law for Georgia
- Hold Forum on Connect Atlanta proposed Bicycle Network
- Work with Atlanta City Council and state legislature to pass Connect
Atlanta Bicycle Network along with dedicated funding for trunk of system - Rid city of dangerous parallel grates
- Rid city of dangerous out of use railroad crossings
Organization
- 1,000 members by 2009
- BeltLine Bike Tour launch
- Move to new office space
- Create new ABC Website 2.0: atlantabike2.org
- Rebrand Effective Cycling as Confident City Cycling
- Achieve greater awareness of organization and higher media profile
Programs
- Data:
- Bike crash map and mapping tool
- Bike rack survey
- Online map of bike racks and integrate into A-Train Trip Planner
- Update bicycle suitability maps
- Bike Buddies program (partner with ARC and Bike Emory)
- Bike sharing proposal for Atlanta
