Preliminary results of bicycle counts in the news

Initial results from ABC's first-ever bicycle counts conducted last week are in, and they're being covered in the local news. Check out the front page of Metro section in the AJC, or listen for a story on the counts on WABE today between 4-5 pm. These counts were the first step in establishing a baseline of data to measure trends in Atlanta bicycling. Our thanks go out to all the wonderful volunteers who counted 710 cyclists at 8 locations around town over 17 2-hour periods, for an average of 21 cyclists per hour at each location. The Edgewood/Krog count found 75 cyclists during the peak hour!
